Connecting Sage SEO to Google Search Console (GSC)
This is an important and critical early step to kickstarting the AI analysis engine for Sage. We utilize your Google Search Console (GSC) data to make important suggestions on optimizing your content strategy.
We do this in several ways and it's essential we have full access to your search query information. GSC provides all of this information. You will just need to enable owner access for Sage.
Enable GSC direct API access (Sage SEO)
This allows direct API access for Sage to download your search query, article performance, and organic clicks data.
From the Sage Homepage, click Integrations on left hand menu
Select Enable under Google Search Console
Choose your Google account that's connected to your website's GSC data
From the Select Your Domain dropdown, pick your domain:
We prefer full domain access and you can do this by selecting the sc-domain option if it's available
Otherwise, or if preferred, choose the https://yourdomain.com option
Progress bar will show you when complete
Granting Re-indexing request permissions (Google Search Console)
This connection allows us to submit reindexing requests to Google Search Console for all blog posts. This allows us to ensure that your newly created content shows up in a Google search immediately (within 24-48 hours). Without this, your content may go uncrawled by Google's spiders or simply get crawled but not Indexed.
Sage submits your blog content automatically to Google for indexing as soon as you publish it. This means you don't have to wait on Google to come crawl new articles you write and publish on Sage. We tell Google it's published and to come crawl it on their next opportunity.
Login to Google Search Console
On the left hand menu, scroll down to Settings
Choose Users and permissions
Then select Add User
Enter sage-seo@sage-login.iam.gserviceaccount.com for the email address
Choose Owner from the drop-down menu and select Add
